Please join us on Tuesday, March 23rd, at 7pm, as Motherwell editor Paige K. Johnston, along with respondents Brandon Alvendia, Simon Anderson, Doro Böhme, and Michael Golec take part in the 2010 ongoing Salon series, The Work of Gambling Historians: Oblique Glances at the Present. Tuesday’s event will tackle the topic of Curating the Page.

Motherwell at Art Los Angeles Contemporary
Motherwell is proud to be taking part in the first ever Art Los Angeles Contemporary, January 28-31st at the Pacific Design Center. As part of a special section of the fair curated by Wendy Yao and dedicated to independent publishing, the Motherwell solo booth will feature a fresh batch of Vol. I bound in white leather, tea service for our visitors, and new artworks inspired by Vol. II by LA artists Barry Johnston and Karthik Pandian. The section will also include djs, a performance by Lucky Dragons, and video screenings by a number of artists including contributor Louis Abelman. If you’re in LA, stop by and support independent publishing!
Come find Motherwell at the Swiss Institute
Both Motherwell vol. I and The Journal of the Valkenberg Hermitage are currently on view and perusable at the Ooga Booga reading room, curated by Wendy Yao, inside the Swiss Institute of Contemporary Art in New York. Come by and see us. There’s free coffee, a comfy couch, and lots of exciting publications!
